Special Note 6th May 2008

I shall recommence work on this website in Mid-May 2008

Wednesday 27th February 2008 - 21st Adar I 5768

Due to Jewish Leap Year - the Yarzheit is repeated on Friday 28th March 2008 - 21st Adar II

Reb Elimelech of Lizhensk, author of Noam Elimelech, (1717-1787). Learned under Maggid Mezritch. Among his students: Reb Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Apta, Chozeh Of Lublin, Maggid of Koznitz, Reb Menachem Mendel of Rimanov. Below is photo of the grave tomb of the Noam Elimelech in Lizhensk, Poland .

The Teachings of Noam Elimelech are deep rooted in a sincere love for every Jew, (in fact for every person in the world as there are 100's of stories of Polish rulers visiting the Noam Elimelech for a blessing). He writes in his book that anyone and everyone who comes to his grave / Tomb and prays sincerely, even if they dont know what they should be praying for, they will be guided to do the right thing and helped along the right pathway in ones lifef as the soul of the Noam Elimelech will guide and protect them.

One of his most famous students was the Reb Menachem Mendel of Rimanov, who vehemently opposed Chabad Lubavitch, believing that the Tanya and chabad was opposed to the principles of loving kindness in Judaism. This dispute grew between the kind hearted, loving and compassionate Galiciana Polish Rebbes and the chabad Baal haTanya was highlighted when the Lubavitch leader prayed for the Tsar's army to be victorious over the French Napoleon army.

Whereas all the kind hearted, spiritual Galician Polish Rebbes prayed for the French to be successful as they could see the French were trying to eradicate the brutal and harsh Tsarist regime.

The Noam Elimelech was the father of all the compassionate and loving Rebbes who believe in the Torah's main principle LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR. The world was created and is sustained only through LOVE and COMPASSION. May the soul of Noam Elimelech of Lizhensk influence all our lives to be good, kind, compassionate and loving, eliminating the forces of evil, hate and destruction. Z"YA .
