Book of Proverbs chapter 3 verse 16; this is Jewish prayer we say when we lift the Scroll of the Torah with both hands, after reading it in the synagogue, and it means :-

The 7 Basic Spiritual Laws to Open Ones Soul to the Secret Power of Palmistry:-

1. Washing Ones Hands to Take Away the Evil Spirits רוח רע and Keep Ones Soul Clean and Pure.

Talmud Sota 4b says "Anyone who eats bread without washing ones hands before eating is as if one sleeps with and acts like a prostitute"; the Talmud uses such a strong and seemingly incomparable equality that it doesn't make sense? However the Talmud explains:- if a person doesn't consider the power and spiritual necessity of keeping ones hands clean then eventually one will also show no consideration for keeping ones soul clean. Sleeping with anyone for a night is simply a reflection that one shows no spiritual value to ones body, nor does one recognize the damage of impurity done to ones soul.

The Talmud gives this as an example to show the extent that not washing ones hands can lead to, to emphasize conversely that when one washes ones hands and keeps ones hands clean then one can raise the energy of ones soul to be almost Divine and Heavenly.

The spiritual reason why we wash our hands is that evil spirits can ONLY enter our body through the energy in our hands, if we keep our hands washed and clean then it is impossible to be taken-over or influenced by any evil spirits.

Most of the mistakes we make in life are due to being badly influenced, these influences can only enter our body and soul if we allow them to; by keeping ones soul cleansed by washing ones hands then it is impossible to be negatively influenced and thereby never make mistakes. Hence the Talmud says one whom is careful in keeping ones hands washed and clean will be successful in everything one does in life, and will always be protected never to make mistakes or be deceived.

2. Always Keep a Watchful Eye on Where One Puts Ones Hands, & How One Motions and Moves Ones Hands.

Imagine that ones hands have a recording device inside them that records images and energies of wherever and whatever your hands do ? what do you think the majority of the images would be like ? useless and ready to throw away images ? or spiritually energizing and powerful hand motions and hand signals ?

Try concentrating for 5 mins on doing "Hand Exercises" and see the difference to the way one feels. As one feels the change in ones life because one is more aware of the potential and actual power that ones hands can generate one will spend more than 5 mins doing "Hand Exercises".

Try gripping your fist tightly closed with as many fingers as possible over the mound of mars on your left hand and over the mound of venus on your left hand; you will see the tips of your fingers go RED as you squeeze your fist tightly closed for a few minutes, feel the difference.

Now try talking to someone whilst you have your fist tightly closed; you will find that you are able to be a lot stronger especially when you do this with your right hand. Now do you remember of the times you have seen your parents or teachers, public speakers, politicians or even pictures of world leaders and dictators who speak with their fists tightly closed, this "tight and clenched fist" movement is a strength that they are trying to communicate their opinions very strongly, refusing to listen to anyone else or allow anyone else's energy influence them.

Position of Hands to be "Focused and Closed"

"Closure" of ones hand shows a refusal to allow any energy to be wasted or stolen from ones soul and is simply done by keeping a firmly closed clenched fist. For those people who suffer from panic attacks, nervousness in large public places then the best way to walk and have a strength in these places is to keep ones hands tightly closed.

This verse written by King David 2900 years ago is the source of the Jewish Spiritual teachings that one should coordinate ones actions and ones speech in life with ones hand movements.

When a person talks, the "body language" as one speaks indicates to the listening person, the degree of sincerity and soulful power of emotion of their words. "Talking with ones hands" indicates to the listener that one is ALIVE, that ones soul is energized, open, strong, emotional, honest and wants to let the other person "feel" the power of the words from within ones soul.

Try talking to yourself whilst making movements with your hands, showing the palms of your hands, turning them sideways, upside down, and even try talking with a clenched fist. You will see for yourself that each movement of ones hands coupled with ones speech has its own specific meaning. As one becomes more spiritually aware of the power of ones soul within ones hands, one will learn that one can communicate ideas and soulful thoughts to others using the movement of ones hands, even without speaking simply by "hand gestures"

3. Cutting Ones Fingernails קליפות Every Week on Friday After Noon in a Specific Order.

The fingernails cover and protect the 5 main segments of the fingers; the segment of Aries, the segment of Capricorn, the segment of Cancer, the segment of Libra and most importantly the segment of ones personal identity and strength of ones soul in the Thumb. Each of these segments as they are profoundly important need protection and are constantly renewing their energies, hence the quick growth of ones fingernails.

Once the fingernails energy has served its purpose it is then seen as a white and dead fingernail which needs cutting. The spiritual reason this happens is in order for us to actively cut off our nails, to help us cleanse our own souls by cutting off any "dead energies" out of our lives.

בדאגה means Worry

By cutting ones nails (Klipos) in the correct order one takes away all negativity known as the "Klipos", hence one takes away ALL worry.

This Jewish tradition of cutting ones nails protects one from worrying ("בדאגה means Worry") as we shall explain; when a baby is born it has no worries and the child grows it continues to have no worries, it is only when a person starts mature and allows-in negative thoughts and bad influences that is when a person starts to worry.

All these negative emotions do not offer any life-energy, in fact they detract from the quality of ones life and are considered deadly energies. Accordingly to Jewish Spiritual Palmistry ones hands are the keys to ones soul, therefore if one has any worries or deadly energies they are contained within ones hands. They are in fact contained at the tips of ones fingernails, and therefore need to be cut in order to cut away the dead-energy.

By cutting ones fingernails one is cutting the dead-energy, and likewise one is cutting away any worries, returning ones soul to the purity and worry-free feelings of a new-born baby and innocent child. (this too is the reason why women cut their fingernails after menstruation is complete before mikva to cleanse away and "dead-energies").

In explaining the reason for this order it is specific, firstly one starts with the left hand, the segment of Cancer, segment of Aries, the segment of Libra , the segment of Capricorn, then finally the strength of ones soul in the Thumb.

Then one moves to clear away the dead energies of ones strongest hand - the right hand ; segment of Aries , the segment of Cancer, the Thumb, the segment of Capricorn, and then segment of Libra.

The Shulchan Aruch - Hilchos Shabbos "Siman 260" שלחן ערוך הלכות שבת סימן רס סעיף א

Quoted from "Preparations for the Shabbos", that on Friday afternoon (after midday and before sunset on Friday evening) one should cut ones fingernails. Fingernails are called קליפות Klipos - negative dead energies.

Sefer Tikunim explains the importance of lighting candle when praying, Chochmas Yad- Palmistry teaches that when one places the palms of ones hands close to the candle, shining any candle on ones palms one will feel the warmth of spiritual energy bringing peace and protection to ones soul.

5. Looking Everyday Carefully at Specific Areas and Lines on the Palms of Ones Hands Especially When One Needs Help and Guidance in That Area of Ones Life.

Feeling Depressed and Tired ?

Use both your hands and rub them together, slide your whole left hand (fingers and thumbs) over your whole right hand - this will energize your soul instantaneously. Sefer Chochmas Yad teaches that whenever one feels overwhelmed by a negative energy, which may even manifest itself in a depressive mood, then one should CLAP. Or if one simply feels tired, lazy and sleepy then CLAP - this will cleanse your hands and wake-up your soul.

Clapping is considered a spiritual awakening act as it gets a person motivated by connecting two qualities Strength of Mars from the right and Strength of Venus from the left hand through clapping both hands together, and in so doing clapping cleanses ones soul and dissipates any bad, stagnant and negative vibrations away from the persons soul.

It is actually a Sefardic-Oriental Jewish custom to clap when one wakes up in the morning for the same reason to cleanse ones soul and to shake-off the bad energies. Try clapping and see how you feel - especially try clapping when you feel lazy, stagnant and stuck.

In our modern world many people find it a little embarrassing to start clapping, so i suggest clapping your hands in the car when you are all alone and no one can hear or see you ( just remember not to clap while you are driving at high speed - not a very wise idea for long life !) And if you are stuck in a traffic jam, start clapping then maybe suddenly and magically the traffic may start moving !

7. Praying with Ones Hands.

The essence of all our prayers are to ask for help, strength and guidance; however many people usually turn to prayer when one is tired and needs help, courage to live and strength to survive. If one holds ones hands together pointing ones fingers heavenwards this is the best and most energizing way to pray.

FYI - In many European Jewish communities during the 14th & 15th Centuries it was banned and forbidden to pray in public like this as this imitated other religions hence Jewish European Rabbis wanted to show a difference in cultures, but oriental Jews never had such a ban on praying ! In understanding that the strength of ones soul is in the palms of ones hands, use the palms of ones hands to push away any negativity, clasp ones hands tightly together to contain the energy within ones hands and soul, and then ones fingers and thumbs will be able touch the mounds of moon and mounds of mars to protect ones soul, mind and thoughts from any negative emotions.

Healing a Headache

As we explained on the pages of "Healing Migraine" and "Spiritual Rescue Work" very often headaches are a sign that ones 3rd eye is being attacked the best way to protect one from being attacked in covering ones 3rd eye with the palms of ones hand.

For example, when a person has a headache there is an immediate instinctive tendency to hold ones head with ones hands . This is what everyone does instinctively and subconsciously, using ones hands and hence ones souls energy to bring healing and strength to ones head.
